2011 has been a year with a lot of good as well as bad things in it, the same as in any other 20 years of independence. In 2011 Asian Games took place in Almaty and Astana, the first underground in Kazakhstan was opened, several terrorist attacks happened in Kazakhstani cities and Uralsk was flooded. We are concluding our project and we hope that it was interesting for you to re-live some moments from the history of our country. In turn, it was very interesting for us to remind you of them.

2010 was a year when the country learnt about small village Kyzylagash existence, OSCE summit was carried on in Astana and the first remarkable meme appeared in the Kazakhstani Internet.

2009 was a year of destroyed careers, currency exchange rates and people's lives. Devaluation was conducted in Kazakhstan, the government bought shares in banks and people were dying in a number regions.

2008 was a year of housing, both public housing as the second stage of low-cost flats construction was being realised in Kazakhstan, and shared construction. The word "investor" with respect to construction works featured in the news report most frequently in 2008. At the same time, flood happened in southern Kazakhstan, and the most expensive Olympic Games were organised on in Beijing.

2007 was a year when everything reached its highest peak, like housing prices, number of houses built, conflicts in president's family and nationalism. At the same time, casinos were moved to specially allocated places in Kazakhstan, and import of right-hand cars was banned.

2006 was a year with a lot of fire. The "lighter" in Astana caught fire, mine workers in the Lenin mine in Karaganda also suffered from fire and a policeman was burning in a conflict with land usurpers in Shanyrak. At the same time another prominent opposition leader was murdered in Kazakhstan and a new tenge design was introduced.

In 2005 Kazakhstanis chose a president, expensive loans and doubtful pleasures. Opposition finally united and immediately lost one of its most prominent representatives.

2004 was a year of political activity. Parliamentary elections took place, historical statements were made and parties united in unlikely coalitions. Meanwhile, the first tide of deaths of famous people began, and the world lived through a tragedy in Beslan.

2003 became a year of total forgiveness. The president declared two moratoriums at once, on capital punishment and on inspections of enterprises. He also forgave recent rebels and gave his daughter permission to develop her own party. The country was seized by red hysteria and Asar party's appeal for charity.

The year 2002 became a year when the course of stability and well-provided life began. The capital acquired new symbols, Kazakhstanis started to assimilate the experience of tourism and currency exchange offices offer the first euros. At the same time heads of CIS states decided to keep the previous form of mutual relationships and a schism hit opposition.
